My ROI Community and the website at myroi.community are owned and operated by MineListings, LLC, a Washington State limited liability company (“we,” “us,” and/or “our”). This privacy policy explains what information we collect from people who visit the site or hold a member account (the “Community”), how we use it, and who else can see it. Your use of the Community is also subject to our Terms of Service.
We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will make a reasonable effort to notify members directly.
In short
- The Community is private. Posts, comments, files and member profiles are visible only to signed-in members, and only within the spaces each member belongs to.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We do not run advertising, and we do not use an analytics or tracking service.
- We do not take payments through this site, so we never see or store card details.
- We do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models, and we do not send member content to any AI service.
- Only two outside services are involved in normal use: a captcha on the sign-in form, and Vimeo for the meeting recordings. Both are described below.
Information you give us
Account information
Membership is by invitation or by application, and every account is reviewed by an administrator before it is granted access. To create an account we collect a name or display name, an email address, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash; we cannot read them. If you apply rather than being invited, we also keep whatever you tell us in your application until the application is decided.
Profile information
Your profile may include a display name, a profile picture and a short headline. Profile pictures are stored on our own server and are shown only to signed-in members.
Content you post
We store the posts and comments you write, the spaces and tags you assign to them, and any images or documents you attach. Uploaded files are kept outside the publicly reachable part of the site and are delivered only after we confirm you are signed in and permitted to see the post they belong to.
Messages to us
If you contact us through a form on this site, we receive what you send, including your name and email address so that we can reply.
Content imported from our previous platform
Until 2026 this community ran on a hosted third-party platform. When we moved the community onto this site, we imported the material members had created there: posts, comments, event listings, uploaded images and files, member names, email addresses, profile pictures and space memberships, covering roughly February 2023 to July 2026.
That imported material is now held on our own server and is subject to this policy. Two things are worth stating plainly. First, if you posted on the old platform, that content is still here and is still attributed to you. Second, the imported archive is read-only history — it reflects what was written at the time. If you would like your imported content removed or your name detached from it, contact us and we will do so.
Meeting and education recordings are hosted on Vimeo as private videos, restricted so that they can only play on this website. We did not import copies of the video files themselves.
Information collected automatically
Like almost any website, our server records technical details of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. We use these records to operate the site, diagnose faults, and detect abuse. Security software on the site also records IP addresses, failed sign-in attempts and blocked requests.
We may infer your approximate location — typically no more precise than a city or region — from your IP address. We do not collect precise device location, and the site never asks your browser or phone for it.
Cookies
We use cookies for a small number of specific purposes:
- Signing in. When you sign in, WordPress sets cookies that keep you signed in and identify your session. Without these you cannot use the Community.
- Your cookie choice. We store your response to the cookie notice so we do not ask again.
- The captcha. The captcha on the sign-in and password-reset forms may set its own cookies. See below.
- Commenting. If you leave a comment, WordPress may store your name and email address in a cookie in your browser as a convenience.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but if you block the sign-in cookies you will not be able to use the Community.
Installing the site as an app
This site can be installed on a phone or computer to behave like an app. There is no separate mobile application and nothing is distributed through an app store. When installed, the site stores its own layout files and images on your device so it loads quickly and can tell you when you are offline. It deliberately does not store community posts, comments or member pictures on your device, because that stored copy would outlive signing out. Nothing about installing the site sends additional information to us.
How we use information
- To run the Community: creating and maintaining your account, showing you the spaces you belong to, and displaying your posts and comments to other members.
- To review membership applications and decide whether to grant access.
- To send you messages that are part of the service: account and security notices, a note when your application is approved, and a note when another member mentions you in a post.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To keep the site secure and working: preventing abuse, investigating suspected misuse, diagnosing faults, and making backups.
- To comply with the law, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not send marketing email on behalf of anyone else. If we ever start a newsletter it will be something you opt into, and you will be able to unsubscribe from every message.
Who can see your information
Other members
Anything you post is visible to the other members of that space, along with your display name, profile picture and the date. Some spaces are restricted to a smaller group; posts in those spaces are visible only to that group. Once another member has seen something you wrote, we cannot un-see it for them, so please treat anything you post as something you are content for those members to know.
Administrators
Site administrators can see all member accounts, all content including content in restricted spaces, and the technical and security logs described above. This is necessary to operate and moderate the Community.
Service providers
A small number of outside companies necessarily handle some information on our behalf:
- Our web host stores the site and its database, including everything described in this policy, and operates the servers that send our email.
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) protects the sign-in and password-reset forms against automated attacks. When you load either of those two pages, hCaptcha receives your IP address and browser information and may set cookies. It is not used anywhere else on the site.
- Vimeo hosts the meeting and education recordings. When you play one, Vimeo receives your IP address and information about your device and may set its own cookies, in line with Vimeo’s privacy policy. Simply browsing the site without playing a video does not contact Vimeo.
Beyond those, we have deliberately avoided third-party services. Our fonts and icons are served from our own server rather than a font network, and we do not load avatars, emoji or scripts from outside content networks.
Legal requests and safety
We may disclose information if we are required to by law, or in response to a valid legal request. We may also disclose information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to investigate a violation of our Terms of Service, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent imminent serious harm to someone. If we ever do so, we will disclose no more than is necessary.
Business changes
MineListings, LLC operates other businesses. We do not share member information between them for marketing. If the Community were sold, merged or transferred, member information could transfer as part of that transaction; we would tell members before their information became subject to a different privacy policy.
Search engines
The Community is behind a sign-in. Search engines cannot reach member posts, comments, profiles or uploaded files, and those pages are not indexed. Only the public pages — such as the home page, this policy and our Terms of Service — are visible to search engines.
How long we keep information
We keep your account and the content you post for as long as the Community operates and your account exists. Technical and security logs are kept for a limited period and then discarded. Backups are kept for a limited period and are overwritten in the normal course of operating the site, so content you ask us to delete may persist in a backup for a short time after it is removed from the live site. If you ask us to close your account we will delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we need to keep something to comply with the law or to resolve a dispute.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct your information. You can view and change your account details while signed in, or ask us for a copy of what we hold.
- Delete your account. Ask us and we will close it and remove your personal information, subject to the retention note above.
- Remove your imported content. If you would rather your posts from the previous platform were deleted, or kept but no longer attributed to you, tell us which and we will do it.
- Email you receive. Service messages such as password resets cannot be switched off while you hold an account, because they are how the account works. Anything promotional would be optional and would carry an unsubscribe link.
- Cookies. You can change your cookie choice at any time from the notice on the site, or clear cookies in your browser.
To make any of these requests, use our contact page. We may need to verify that the request really comes from you before we act on it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; tell us what you are asking for and we will treat the request on its merits regardless of where you are.
There is no accepted standard for how websites should respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, and we do not respond to them. We do not track you across other websites in the first place.
Children
The Community is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us.
Where your information is held
The site is hosted in the United States and is intended for people in the United States. If you use the Community from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States, where privacy law may differ from the law where you live.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. The site is served over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored only as hashes, member content and uploaded files are reachable only by signed-in members with permission to see them, and the sign-in form is protected against automated attacks. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected members and any authority we are required to notify.
